Megan Fulton | Fulton tennis lead pro

Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Coach Fulton gained an interest in tennis at the age of five. She grew up playing in USTA junior tournaments throughout the Southwest where she became the top ranked player in the Southwest. Continuing her formative tennis play at Arcadia High School, Phoenix, Az, she earned a full tennis scholarship to The Pennsylvania State University.

A 2004 graduate of Penn State with a degree in Rehabilitative Services, Coach Fulton enjoyed a successful career as a Lady Lion from 2000-2004. She represented the Lady Lion team by competing in the top three positions in both singles and doubles play. Following her collegiate career, Coach Fulton competed in ITF and professional tournaments for a season before marrying her college sweetheart and starting a family.

Coach Fulton believes in building players holistically. This holistic approach to tennis consists of three-developmental tiers; grow, maturate, and cultivate. The first tier, grow, aims to challenge a player’s cardiovascular and muscular physical abilities. The second tier, maturate, focuses on enhancing strategy through honing technical and smart skills tennis play. The last tier, cultivate, seeks to inspire and offer a positive experience and life-long love for the sport.

Coach Fulton has trained numerous elite juniors in central Pennsylvania, Phoenix and Yuma, Az., and Southern California. She is a tennis pro at El Camino Country Club and holds both USPTA and PTR certifications. She is also a Level I Cardio Tennis Fitness Instructor, Assistant Men's and Women’s tennis coach at University of Saint Katherine, Varsity Girls Head Coach of Pacific Ridge (the team won CIF Division 2 her first year coaching them). Coach Fulton and her husband, John, are the proud parents of three beautiful daughters; Chloe, Lyla, and Ellie.

 Hi There!

I’m Megan! I began my tennis career at the age of five and instantly had a love for the game. I grew up playing in the USTA junior tournaments, reaching a #1 ranking in the Southwest Section and a national ranking in the top 60. I played high school tennis at Arcadia High School in Phoenix, Arizona where I only lost one match during my time there. I earned a full tennis scholarship to Penn State University. Playing on the Lady Lions Tennis Team, I competed in the top three positions in both singles and doubles. After graduation, I played in some ITF tournaments for a short time then married my college sweetheart and we decided to start our family. My husband, John, is a U.S. Marines and we have three beautiful daughters; Chloe, Lyla and Ellie.

I believe tennis is a lifelong sport and look forward to assisting you in maximizing your style of play and finding your individual flair.  I am certified with both the USPTA and PTR and I am a Level I Cardio Tennis Fitness Instructor. I have also trained a handful of juniors who went on to get full tennis scholarships at Division 1 schools.  We will focus on physical, technical, strategic and mental/emotional aspects of the game. My goal is to inspire and offer a positive, high quality experience. I look forward to meeting you!

xoxo, Megan
